Actually if anti-sieze is used on the wheel studs it keeps this from happening.

i belive that the lug nut shell is really thin on the end, u can probaly drill a hole in it to gain access to the thrads and try drilling it out as well
x2 on the antiseize when reinstalling the lug nuts
