Good priced San Diego shops? Possible blown head gasket..

Yea, that's going to be the next step. Getting it towed to my house tomorrow and I will start diagnosing.

Keep your fingers crossed for me..

Got the Jeep towed to my place yesterday, thanks again Dan. We looked it over and realized there was a huge hole in the passenger side of the radiator. Went ahead and replaced it and tried to burp the cooling system. When we would turn on the Jeep with the rad cap off to let the air out it would just consistently push the coolant out of the rad cap. When we put the rad cap on it would fill up the over flow tank and start overflowing pretty quickly.

I just picked up a compression test kit and still have a new thermostat to try, just wanted to post up to see if anyone has had similar problems.. Any help is always appreciated, thanks.

Sounds like a head gasket. Chances are the head will need to be milled. Do yourself a favor and also get a valve job at the same time.

Compression was 165-175 on all 6 cylinders. Replaced the sparks while i was doing it. Put everything back together and tried to turn it on and it sounded like it was misfiring and wouldn't idle. Took the coil pack off and tested it, it was no good. Got a new one about to put it on now. Will post how it goes..

Had a buddy thats been a mechanic the last 10 years come by and take a look and he said it sounded normal for it to keep overflowing like that and told me to test drive it and see if it overheats, park it, let it cool down and check the coolant level.

Blegh..

Just took it for a test drive after the new coil packs and it overheated after 1 or 2 minutes of driving, smoke started comin out as i pulled up to my house. Turned it off and popped the hood and it was still just pumpin back out all the coolant from the overflow tank.. Anyone think it could be the thermostat or is it for sure a head gasket?
