Give me a reason....

So I just came into posession of a more than slightly used Hydraulic assembly complete with ram.
It would be used to lift a plow if it were new, but its not.
It stretches approx 24 inches, collapses to 14 or so.
I have the technology, I just need an excuse/use to mount it.
So I'm taking suggestions:
What could you use on the trail that a hydraulic ram might assist you in?
Quick Jack? it only stretches so far?
Lifting forks?
Firewood splitter?
Does anyone have any ideas out there?

You could use it to break off your steering knuckles........

Or, you could use it as a counterweight.

I like the hydraulic hatch opener idea. :)

clam shell hydro automatic upper door opener!! :wierd:

or the steering might be workable.

Mount under rear bumper with 6" spike attached, use it to puncture tailgaters radiators.....
Mounted in front, could be used to apply 'I SUCK AT DRIVING' stickers on the rear bumper of bad drivers at stop signs and traffic lights...

hmmmm I would say my idea but it is not the den and it might hurt...now that i have said that let me recover and gain some credibility back.

I vote you get 3 more and put gullwing doors on your XJ if it is a 4-door.

I like the tubing bender idea.. but how practical is that on the trail? Should I make it removeable for the sake of weight? Or design it to remove U-joints as well?
