Tacked on my Lower control arm brackets.. gotta drag it to the shop to weld it up with the miller, my little 90 amp doesnt want anything to do with it.

Shaved the top of the axle housing a little so the coil bucket sits flat

Yeh, install directions on the TNT truss have you cut 2" off the axle housing so it will sit flush! I was scared just taking an 1/8th of an inch off the top... but alas Im in Memphis tonight so no jeep stuff for a few days

Ok I got back from memphis yesterday and... went to work

Got the control arm mounts and perches burned on and then went about making a mini truss from my UCA mount

everything is 1/4 plate so i think it will be strong enough

You Guys think I should box the other side of the truss? it is VERY solid how it is, and with it all being 1/4 i'd like to not add too much more weight but if you guys think it wont hold my upper link ill go ahead and box the other side

I would because the forces there to the flat plate will be strong. Not only that it would help it to resist bending.

Screw explaining... Im doing work haha

So should i shave a little off the ring gear or get a notched cross pin?

My 4.56's showed up for my D44 today!
so my first course of action was to slap that ring gear on, my pinion bearings should show up at work tomorrow

I know im gonna catch slack about it being open, but right now this is my Nurse recovery vehicle in the winter and with my 242 Tcase i'd prefer it open. I'll throw a mini spool in it once i buy the fiancee a subaru, but till then this is what im running

Ballistic screwed up my order so i had to wait till they ran a new batch of tube adapters but whatever. They made it right and overnighted stuff to me

Prepare yourselves for an onslaught of posts on friday, I will be cutting out the old, welding in frame stiffiners and control arm mounts, and swapping the axle in a 12 hour period. Wish me luck

So

Goodbye Dana 30

CO-worker wanted to play with the cutting Torch so my Control arm Brackets disappeared quickly

You can see the frame stiffeners tacked into place, Pulled out the fancy jackstands and used my front bumper (there was some concern to its strength but it held
