Front wipers that stand up?

I don't, I use a nylon windshield cover that has magnets sewn inside the top edge to stick to the roof and "wings" that you can close inside the front doors to secure it from blowing off.

My wife uses old beach towels on her windshield, and puts the towel under the wipers to hold it in place.

I park my Comanche in the garage and my wife's XJ in the carport.

Our two-car garage has a bad case of "Cr*p-itis" for the past twenty years. I barley have enough room to reload ammo in there.

My '96 ZJ and '01 XJ don't.

The DID have the spring tension when they were new. The casting that attaches to the motor shaft has a feature in it to attach the spring. It tends to break on the older style arms, especially if they corrode.

A new replacement arm for an XJ will have the spring.
