Last Winter our front driveshaft developed a noise at the rear of the shaft connecting to the transfer case. We replaced the parts at this end - including the ujoint in March. Fast Forward to July and the noise comes back - with more front driveshaft vibration. The vibration led to some other problems - which finally got us to the point of replacing the stock shaft.
We went with a Tom Woods shaft. The Heavier walled unit with longer spline etc.. Tom did a great job in answering our questions.
Here are our pics of the old shaft and then installed Tom Wood's shaft.
