Fiberglass work on woodgrain?

When I get the money to buy a nice stereo for my new Jeep I am going to buy the RB1 its the navigation radio from the grand Cherokee's. The only problem is that its the rounded corner style radio. I was wondering if the factory center dash piece could be fiberglassed to match the radio and then have the fiberglass/bondo painted to match the woodgrain surround? I like my woodgrain and would love to have this radio in the jeep. I am going for a truly clean and stock looking interior for this Jeep.

I have seen the after market touchscreen radios put into these dashes and I love the way it looks but I want it to look factory (the same style buttons, buttons, etc...).

Here is a picture of a wrangler with this head unit swapped in. (post #30)

I wanted to go with an RB1 back in the day, but it was too much trouble, and the unit's dated by todays standards (no bluetooth, no touchscreen, data is stored on discs, etc...).

You should go with a 2DIN retro, and find yourself a stockish looking deck. P1atinum can help you with the bezel.
