I see the correct filters, what ever brand also have a backflow check for the 4.0l.
So there is more than just getting a thread adaptor.
None of the Ford filters have a backflow check.

got to check my filter, hold on a sec...

edit:-- just checked, according to the box it came in, the Napa Gold 1515 (Wix 51515) has the cold start bypass, and a silicon anti-drainback valve.- is this what you mean by backflow check?
