Do I need an adaptor or new hose?

Just installed AC into my 88 Comanche for the first time and have been completely screwed over on parts by YUPPIEXJ (member #846). One of the parts he has taken several weeks to ship is the adaptor for the upper hose from the expansion valve to the receiver/dryer (picture here:)

Question: Do I need this adaptor or should I make a new hose that runs from the expansion valve? Sorry to vent like this but everyone should be warned not to purchase anything from YUPPIEXJ. Thanks for your help.

I sent the parts via FedEx air. Tracking number 848511637170.

I did not send the last two parts in a timely manner.
Actually it took 3 weeks for me to get to FedEx to ship them.
I completely understand your frustration, I have exemplified crappy customer service.
I want to, in a public forum, let you know that I want to make it right.
