DIY smoke test

P0455 Gross evap leak. Smells of gas by the tank, especially noticeable after filling.

I've rigged up a home made smoke machine.

I can pump smoke into the intake manifold, but it doesn't go to the tank. I assume I need to trigger the evap solenoid.
the FSM is pretty useless because it assumes you have a DRBIII.

So, what do I need to feed 12V to open the evap purge solenoid?

Just run the smoke hose into the fuel filler opening
and seal it with masking tape. There's a good chance
the leak is from the filler hose itself, since you have
a strong gas odor after refueling.

What are you using to generate the smoke? Be very
careful to not have an ignition source combined with
gas fumes...
