detroit soft locker install

hey guys. looking to add the rear locker, but how is the install of the detroit soft locker. Does my differential need to be reset up or can this be done in the drive way?

sorry, but theres not much out there on installing the detroit auto lockers.

Yep it will have to be set up again. It's not a lunchbox style locker

More than likely labor to install the locker will cost the same whether you re-gear or not, so no reason not to go ahead and bite the bullet and get it all down as well.

we charge less for a diff install than a regear or rebuild. but if you do have a regear planned for near future, wait. you also didn't mention which axle you have or your ability.

I'd charge the same to install a locker with your current gears because the gears still need to be set up correctly.

im looking at adding the detroit to a 29 spline 8.25C, as for my ability Of the few things i wont do my self this is one of them. I really cant afford whining gears for this expense haha.
