dana 30 yoke swap question

I have a high pinion d30 out of a 99 under my jeep and am swapping to u bolt yoke.

During searching I understand that the high pinion 30 doesnt use a crush sleeve for pinion preload so the yoke swap is as simple as remove old yoke and instal new yoke using new pinion nut torqued to factory spec right?

Yep. The are certain D30s that use crush sleeves but yours does not assuming it is the one that came with your vehicle.

ANy reason not to drill out current yoke and run ubolts?

Some say it works on certain 30 yokes and not others...
