Checking Renix sensors

Im in the process of checking the various sensors on my 88 XJ Renix (CTS, MAT, MAP, etc)

The CTS & MAT are easy to do as I just unplug them and check resistance against temperature.

But I need to know if the other sensors ie, MAP, O2, IAC, TPS etc need to be checked while they are connected and that I have to use some type of stick pin to come from the backside of the connector while checking for voltage/resistance?

I checked the CTS right after I came home from work and the resistance was 3250 ohms. An hour or so later, while the engine is still very warm, the resistance had dropped to about 550 ohms. Im going to check the CTS in the morning when its cool.

How the heck do you get the CTS out of the block?
