I spent last weekend wheeling in Moab, UT. Did a fun trail called Metal Masher. I aired down my tires to about 10 psi for the trail and my tires performed flawlessly. I run 35" BFG mud terrains. On 4 hour drive home, I didn't really pay much attention to it, but now that I am daily driving my Jeep again, I noticed a strange noise, like something is vibrating at just about any speed. Nothing too terribly loud, but something that definitely wasn't there before.
I put the rear end up on jack stands and put it in drive to see if I could see anything abnormal. The only thing that didn't look right was that my rear tires were wobbling a little bit. My question is, could wheeling hard on low tire pressure cause tires to go out of balance? I have already ruled out bad U-joints, driveline angle, and it has a sye. If it's not the tires out of balance, I am dreading that it might be something to do with the ring & pinion.
Let me know if you have had this problem or if I'm just crazy.
