That's gotta be one helluva slip yoke on that front drive shaft though..... :D
 
i think i know how he did it... working in receving trucks have a "slide" type function on the trailers... even though its not mechanical it can be made to be... it is so that the wheels spread the weight of the trailer... idk if im right but just a thought
 
I'm thinking he kept the original narrow frame that the old war wagon had in place for the engine/radiator/front clip supports. Then built a square tube frame along the outside of the orig. frame and put smaller O.D. square tube inside that. Toward the back of the new box frame, he probably mounted hydraulic rams at the back end of the frame to push/pull the whole set up.



Pretty friggin slick.
