Build Thread: 2.8L of Doom!

Wow looks great.....lets get those tires dirty this weekend...We are putting a "shop trip" together for Saturday at the cliffs...you guys are always welcome...give me a call or come to the shop Thursday.......

Ram" the cliffs is going to be sloppy this weekend" Rod......

Thanks John! If I can get the axle in before then, I'll drag it out for a good time. If not, we might take the green turd out. I'll let you know either way.

That Jeep has come so far since you were my adopted newbie. :)

Hard to imagine this is going to be my 5th WF.

Jeep looks good, You will love the tires.

Thanks man! I can't wait to get it out on the trails. She's been sitting in the driveway too long.

Those beadlocks look SWEET!! Where did you get them? DIY weld on?

I got them from TMI and yep, DIY weld on. https://totalmetalinnovations.com/

I like the way their anti-coning setup is part of the inner ring.

not if you wheel with some sense.

it not like it has bone snapping torque from the 2.8... the beadlocks will be a little heavy because of the extra fancy stuff on the outer ring. The ltb isnt an incredibly heavy interco tire, not like a tsl or an sx. I never broke a stock spicer joint in the waggy while I ran the exact same tire, and we know there was no sense involved in the driving of that rig

No doubt. I run 35" Krawlers on a D30. The kool part about them though is they stick like glue at 12 PSI.

Just keep spare Dana 30 parts in the jeep, with the tools. Boggers can be rough on a dana 30 as well.

Figured I'd update while I'm sitting at work since a few things have changed.

Got a radiator, fan and shroud in her this weekend. Couple more things and she'll be back on the trails.

Could you share with me the part number or the part numbers for the stuff you are using?
Im currently in need of new steering for my XJ.

Thanks
-Sean
