Broken U-Joint

So umm, my U joint straps broke while I was on a main road, I lost one of my u-joint caps. This is on the rear 44.
What all needs replacing?
I know that for sure my yoke needs to be replaced as it was the cause of the failure to begin with.
What about the u joint its self?
Obviously new straps...
Is there anything I am missing on my replace list?

Straps on a d44? Hmmmm...I thought they all used u-bolts.

Did the shaft hit the ground while you were moving? If so, it might be a good idea to take it to a drive shaft shop and have it checked for straightness and balance.

XJ D-44s use straps.

Stock U-joints are cheap enough.

What Frank said about the driveline shop. They might be able to get a better price on the yoke as well.

My XJ D44 came with u-bolts.

Mine came with straps! Wanna trade? :laugh:

Convert it to the u bolt style and be done with it for good. Like Frank said check the shaft for damage too.
