My daughter has a 97 XJ that has been through a woman driver hell and just keeps going.
General poor maintenance of course should have killed it 100,000 miles ago. It's been nicely overheated more than once with no noticeable damage to the engine. Several unscheduled off road tips..A wheel falls over and off into the field plowing up earth and small trees. Several deer hits so the front replacement header is now a mass of duct tape. The headliner is gone and she claims it just blew out the window.
It just got it's one a year oil change ,new u joints and spark plugs to replace the old ones with the electrodes worn to a nub.She claims it's just like new now so no reason to scrap it.
