A question about rocker rails

correct me if I'm wrong but don't those iron rock rails require the pinch seam to be cut slightly?On their site they claim that no cutting is required.....those are some nice ass rails,though!

here are a couple pics of mine....they are for sale.The angled ends will be plated prior to sale.....(never got around to it yet)
you can't tell by the pics but the ends of the main tube are angled also...
