so I just removed the 2 abs fuses(solenoid and motor) and the problem is gone. I will try to disconnect one of them at a time tomorrow to see which part it is that is giving me the strange braking. I would not even bother with the abs and just leave it unplugged but the abs light does come on when I do take the fuses out.
