3.55's + AX-15 = worth the time?

I have a extra set of axles (D30 and D35) laying in the yard. Thinking about building them with better gears and then I'll swap and save the ones that are in the XJ now for spares. How big of a deal is it to set up gears in an axle? If I have never done it before would ya suggest not doing it alone?

dont even think about doing it alone, seems simple enough but it is not as easy as it appears. atleast have someone who knows what they are doing show you. plus if the axles are already out install costs will be cheaper anyways.
