ive been planning on changing my 87 2wd xj to 4wd but was expecting to have to spend close to $4000. i have an AW4 tranny but dont know any more than that. i want to put a dana 60 up front with a detroit locker and a dana 60 rear with lim-slip. but i havent done much research on it yet. i just found this thread and its made me excited i may have enough $$ already. i plan to find an newer model xj around 96-01 in a junk yard, and maybe i can swap parts?
any thoughts?
i plan to upgrade to an atlas 5.0 tc with 4.3:1 gearing, my other gearing options are 3.8:1 and 3.0:1 any suggestions?
o ya and i do use this as a daily driver.
