1990 renix fuel problem

Yes i guess i will have to break out the multi meter and start checking all the sensors and look for a short or open wire. The wiring on these thing are not the greatest.

Did you also swap out the coolant temp sensor on the block by the pass side motor mount?

Drivers side (not pass side)

according to Chilton F.I. Guide, CTS is primary signal for ECU, but if it fails the ECU will substitute IAT info for CTS signal. I'm guessing both would have to be sending a VERY cold signal before you'd see black smoke.

make sure you've got a solid vacuum line from the throttle body to the MAP sensor and that it's attached to the lower hole in the throttle body- the top is a blind hole w/out any vacuum.
