Did you get ALL the ground wires connected to a clean and shiny dipstick tube stud?

fixed it, ended up needing a new flexplate... runs like a charm! drove it yesterday

some teeth were slightly bent down, they were kind of cupped on a few teeth... i couldnt tell with the transmission out of the way and the flexplate still bolted to the motor, but once we pulled it down off the motor i could see what was wrong...
