Our old 94 XJ had the 242 and it was difinatly nice to have in the typical winter driving conditions. We also did a Tom Woods SYE and driveshaft combo on it since it had 4" lift on it. I am not worried about SYE issues with eithere the 231 or the 242 as I have done both, the 231 is cheaper...

Re: Looking for good area to buy house
I too miss the German culture. I lived in a little town called Horingen about 10 min past Otterberg. It was about 35 min from Ramstein AB. I didn't get my TJ until I was about to leave there so I wasn't in the wheelin scene to long but the wife had her...
Re: Subframe sleeving or T&J stiffners??? What do you suggest to beef up the unibody?
You are right. I stand corrected. I just went and looked at the set on the wifes XJ and they are L shaped.
-Matt
Go with TnT Customs
I have the T&T Customs frame stiffeners on the wifes XJ and they are great. T&T's work is amazing, strong, and they wrap around the uniframe. There was an increase in the way the XJ felt with steering and how if felt on the road to. Just my .02 Their website is under...
