I bought the jeep with a 6" drop pitman arm. NO GOOD.
I did high steer and reverted back to a 4" arm, Much better.
I have roughly 8" of lift and will be dropping it down to 6.5" and will get a shorter pitman arm to match.
Here's a pic of my setup, don't copy my drag link and track bar angle...
Put a rheostat on your fan to make it variable speed, that is if your thermal switch doesn't already do so. That way you could run half speed (1/4 the noise) instead of just on and off.
It shouldn't make any difference. Either way you have to push the fluid to the top or the cooler. And the...
Haha. Didn't see the link you posted. My fenders are almost the same as erics, but not as good. I would highly recommend erics fenders, i like his much more than mine.
Thanks Tim. The whole axle shaft thing slipped my mind. Forget the wider axle part.
I would prefer not to run a full .250 wall sleeve, on the long side at least. Would running a foot into the long side tube and plug welding be sufficient? Or would I be better off with .120 wall tube and running...
I plan on rotating the inner C's on my TJ Rubicon 44. Right now I have 5 degrees of caster and a 10 degree difference between my pinion angle and driveline angle. The goal is to fix the angle so I don't have to rebuild my driveline twice a year.
Before I planned on doing this I installed some C...
I run 4.56 and 37's with your same axles. I broke my strap yoke in the rear right away, upgraded to a bolt yoke and haven't had an issue sense. The axle joint was either shit luck, worn joint, or too much skinny pedal.
Here are mine. The previous owner built them. I love them cause they are tough, and everybody else loves the way they look.
The rears are pretty basic, but tough as nails
I can get some more specific pictures if you are interested.
A set is two. He listed one part number and specified front shocks. The front only uses two shocks last time I checked. You don't read that well but at least you can do some math.
That's asking a lot. You're probably going to have to compromise somewhere. I have no direct experience, but the full traction kit sounds like a good option for you. However they recommend 5" lift, and not many long arm kits recommend less. Your looking at something custom to meet your wants.
It's the flex plate, mine sounds the same. I decided to run it till something breaks. Mine is worse when everything is cold and practically goes a way when warm. It hasn't gotten worse in the past 1000 miles, so i'm not worried.
I have a Rubicon 44 in my cherokee. As far as I know its the same as a dana 30 from the center sections out. That is the case with TJ 44's. Jk 44's are different. You should have no problem swapping the inner c's to my knowledge.
Got some tube doors and no longer needed my A/C.
Intake side was pretty easy. The pipe was 5/8" OD so a 1/2 copper sharkbite fitting fit good. Above that is the oiler and a breather. I need to do something different with the oiler though. It isn't oiling as far as I can tell and I don't trust...
No manual hubs. I don't take it on the freeway, but do 65 down country road all the time. It drives better the faster I go. I'm sure there are some vibrations, they are hardly noticeable. I can't say enough good things about the hydro assist, especially on an xj. Solved most all of my issues.
