    Modified Crank Position Sensor

I'm getting my flex plate replaced next week by a local, reputable shop, that's done good work for me in the past. I'm going to have them replace the stock CPS since the trannys going to be dropped anyway. Is there any advantage to modifying a CPS for a few degrees of timing, on an automatic...

    ethanol blend in 96

I too am having issues with my 96 similar to the ones above. Not as much a stuttering but a general rougher idle. My theory is when I found a station that sold ethanol free or "rec" fuel as its more commonly referred to in the Sunshine state, and reset my ECM to revert back to its original...

    Fan Clutch?

md21722, I never thought about getting the Jeep a stocking, thanks! 8Mud, Ive seen in the forums that the oe can clutch IS adjustable. That allegedly why some models have two sets of pegs at 12 and 6 oclock, where the foof of the spring seats. BulletMaker, if fan clutches failed...

136 Amp alternator upgrade for a 2000 XJ

I understand that amps matter more than volts and I understand the difference between the two. That being said, will running a higher amp alternator keep my voltmeter closer to 12 volts when running all of my accessories OR does the voltage regulator inside the pcm just makes sure it stays...

    Police ECU or not?

Thanks for the feedback. Good to know the ECU doesn't make a difference in reference to the EIS should I make a go at it. I doubt the flash does anything that a tuner doesn't do better. It just made sense to check since I needed the part anyway.

    Police ECU or not?

First, thanks to the guys that helped me diagnose my failed voltage regulator. I learned a lot. Couldn't have done it without you. Second, my local parts stores says that there is a police ECU option for my heap. Can anybody tell me what the difference is? Not really interested in top...
