I have a buddy with a extra rear shaft for me..he has the 242 with the hack n tap...i have to the 231 with the hack n tap.....my ? is will this bolt up to my 231?

Ok i did search:) Well my ? is...I have a 93 xj and it originally came with 4.0ho engine. well shit hit the fan wiht that engine and i wanna just buy a new one.Someone told me on another board if the jeep originally came wiht the Ho engine then thats what has to be put back in there. So a renix...

I bought a jeep without a engine or tranny. its a 93 and i guess it had the 4.0ho. i was wondering if i had to have and Ho or could i use a regular 4.0 with the computer. so my main question is..."do i have to use a 4.0ho setup in my 93 2dr xj, or could i use a regular 4.0"? Eric
