    got rustys 3" in....

Well, at least I hope that my experience helped you out... it was a pain. I guess all said and done, it's better to be too high, than too low. However, I would much rather have gotten the advertised 3"... I do admit that Rusty's kit is one of the more economical ones around, and if you know...

    got rustys 3" in....

Had the same issues with my Rusty's FSP 3" lift... http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=33050

about to order lift"rusty's", just 1?

I ended up adding a .75" spacer in the front, and taking out the bottom leaf in the rear... that netted me right at 3.5" all around.

about to order lift"rusty's", just 1?

Be prepared to add a spacer in the front... when I put my Rusty's Full spring pack 3" lift on, it was not quite 3" in the front, and 4.5" in the rear... and it never settled.

    what about sand?

Most of the vehicles I've seen stuck are ones that "push" the sand, either with their front valence or bumper, or with their front diff. Explorers push it bad with stock tires on their front diff... and most people with 4x4's don't bother to let any air out...

    what about sand?

We take my '99 out on the north end of Carolina Beach 3 or 4 times a month, and sometimes a lot more if the weather is good, in the summer. Before I got the lift and 31" tires, I would let the air pressure down to about 20-22 PSI, and I never even got close to getting stuck. Now with the 31's...

Staying at 3" lift, JKS trackbar or Kevin's offroad?

Hmmm... I don't see one for WJ's on his site, maybe I'm looking in the wrong place? Anyway, I have the one for XJ's and ZJ's and I just went out in the garage and looked, and I've got 3.5" of lift on the front, and I have a good solid 1/2" of thread on the end beyond the jamb nut. It might be...

    Funny rattle...

I have a strange sounding rattle in the drivers side front end that I can't figure out. It only rattles when I hit a moderate to large bump. It sounds like someone jingling change in their pocket kinda... any ideas? 3" Rusty's Springs with .75" spacer up front. Rusty's shocks, Kevin's...

    Rear too high...

I thought I'd update on this post... I finally worked on this problem and think I got it resolved. We removed the shims I had in the rear, and also removed the bottom leaf from the springs. This resulted in about .75" lower in the rear. Finally the rear is mostly level with the front and I...

Staying at 3" lift, JKS trackbar or Kevin's offroad?

I just put a Kevin's Trackbar Conversion Kit on my '99 and like it. It was easy to install, and works well. A little pricey, but I think it's worth it.

    Rear too high...

Well I can assure you that it has been wheeled, pretty hard. That was just after a good washing. Now, with the .75" front spacers the front is sitting almost exactly at 3.5". The rear is measured at right at 4.5". As I said in that post, that pic was pre-front spacers, so it was sitting at...

    Rear too high...

Don't know if you'll see this or not... This was pre-front spacer, and with 250Lbs in the back...

    Rear too high...

Yeah, you think I could just get her to live back there?

    Rear too high...

I have added a .75" spacer in front, and it is running the stock shackles. Can you get shorter than stock shackles? I have flexed, crawled, stacked weights in the back, loaded up my dads trailer and towed rocks all to no avail.

    Rear too high...

I've finally grown completely fed up with my rear end. I have never been happy with it since I bought Rusty's 3" Full Spring Pack kit. The rear is still at around 4.5" even after well more than a year. I want to get it back down around 3" or so. Any ideas? Obviously I could get a new spring...

    What would you suggest?

I can't reccomend anything else, but I can tell you my experience... I have a '99 as well. I got the Rusty's 3" Full spring pack lift last year and had it installed. I ended up with 4.5"+ lift in the rear and barely 3" in the front. Needless to say it rode high in the rear, and looked quite...

    Rocky-Road Adj. Trac Bar

I just put Kevin's Offroad track bar conversion kit on my '99. It comes with the adjustable track bar and a new track bar bracket. It was easy to install and got rid of my bump steer completely. I'm very happy with it so far. It does not have the TRE on it, but a new joint on both ends with...

    No Rear Sway Bar?

Here's my .02 cents... I've got a 3" lift (Rusty's) and removed mine. It was "clunking" when I went over off center bumps. I notice no difference in driving or handling at any speed with it off... once I took it off the "clunking" stopped...

OK, so it is wrong... that's what I thought based on what I read this morning. Let me correct that and see what happens... Thanks!!!

    Driveline Vibes

So in other words, the output shaft of the TC and the input shaft of the diff should be as close to parallel as possible? That is not the case now. Right now, the diff is pointed up closer to parallel with the drive shaft...
