I have an 89 xj with an inline 6 and the black middle wire keeps on melting.... I've replaced the. icm and that pigtail 3 times now and still can't find out what's wrong ... Any ideas??? And does any one know the pinout for thougs icm?

Plugs are not too bad and same with the cap and wires.... When I break out the multimeater what should I be looking for???

i have an 89 jeep cherokee with a 4.0L... i keep having a problem with my coil...i've replaced my coil and Ignition control module twice and the plugs to it twice to cause they keep melting. Im out of ideas any sugestions??

I got an 89 jeep Cherokee that had a 4.0l and I want to drop a chevy 350 in it... If your just going to bash on me or complain that the 4.0 is better stop now and don't reply!!!! I love my 4.0 but I want a 350.. With that said I don't know where to start... I got a motor and tranny lined up but...

the balist resistor is what i think you are talking about.. i had that chnged too when they changed the CPS so i would not think that would affect it.. i think that just controls the fuel pump... and the fuel pump is still running

the batery has a full charge... if i short acrose the starter solinoid i can get it to crank but not with the key.. i puled out the NSS and cleaned it and that did not fix the isue. im thinkin gthe CPS but i did not know if that could cause a no Crank symtom... I just had it changed 3 months ago...
