My newest creation - Front Winch Bumper

Just thought I would share... Thought I would make a front bumper that resembled the factory look to match the rear bumper I made... So I just finished it... which incorporated the factory side pieces. It's made of .250" (1/4) and .187" (3/16) steel. Have not had a chance to put the winch on...

    Cooling down an XJ 2001

I have a 2000 with the 4.0 and 5.5" lift with 31's. I installed a 180 degree thermostat and a custom intake and I haven't overheated since, even in the 100+ degree summers here. I'm running the orange coolant, if that means anything... Right now (in the winter) my temp guage needle sits just a...

Custom Rear Tire Carrier w/ Factory Bumper

I used a piece of 2.25" x .375" DOM with a 1.25" shaft. It has a bronze bushing pressed in as well as a bronze washer between the mount and the carrier. PLENTY strong enough... as long as you don't carry a 39" bogger or something... :D

Custom Rear Tire Carrier w/ Factory Bumper

Custom Rear Tire Carrier w/ Factory Bumper

Just finished my rear tire carrier (holding my 31x10.5). Mostly made of 1.75 x .120" tubing. I also had to beef up the stock bumper a lot to compensate for the extra weight. It worked out great...All for less than $75! :shhh:

    RC 4.5" Long Arm Installed!

Thanks. It rides nice...although I've never owned an XJ before. But if you get the RC leaf springs... you must re-locate your shackle to get your shackle angle back! I have been in other jeeps with the short arm kit and I can say that the long arm is much more of a softer ride.

    RC 4.5" Long Arm Installed!

I personally don't care for the KM2's, but that's just my opinion... If you don't keep them rotated (quite often) you will not like them. If I can't find some old MT/R's I am going with the Kumho MT's (I just love those). Yes I welded in the box tubing to fill in the factory mount, then welded...

    RC 4.5" Long Arm Installed!

Thank you! Yes they are 31x10.50 KM2's, but I do not like them (ride sucks on the road). They came on the jeep when I bought it though. I'm going to sell these and get some Goodyear MT/R.

    RC 4.5" Long Arm Installed!

Finished installing the Rough Country 4.5" long arm kit a few weeks ago, but just finished my shackle re-location brackets. I used 3.5 x 3.5" square tubing (to closeout the factory shackle "box") and welded it in and also used some 3.0 x 3.0" to fab the shackle mounts. It worked out good and...

feed back about RuffCountry 4.5 lift

I've had the 4.5" long arm kit with leafs for a few weeks and it's great. I did have to fab some shackle re-location brackets to get the correct angle though, but now it just right...can't complain!

    Hack-n-tap SYE

I tried searching for this but had no luck... I am installing an RE hack-n-tap sye (the one with the 4 bolt flat flange) on my np231 and want to use an XJ front cv driveshaft... so what flange yoke end do I need to put on the xj cv driveshaft to bolt to the rubicon express flange??? Did that...
