old thread, but any idea where the surplus center cylinders are made?
Have everything in 98 cherokee's list in my shopping cart for about $130. I am confident I can do the work, but not 100% sure on how hydraulic systems work, so id rather order the same parts that worked for someone else. May...
Just wanted to say that my friend just bought one of these and its a work of art, I could not stop looking at it and its worth the money. If you were closer it would be on my sisters XJ.
Yeah I know, Iv got the brown dog super poly mounts! Just saying that stock replacements would probably be safer then those custom fabbed ones. Pretty sure Anchor is a US company too.
Then stock replacemnts should last you another 100k miles no problem.
Anchor part # 2572. $5.46 each @ rockauto.com

I blew the old box out last winter when I cracked my unibody. Upgraded to the J20 box since they are cheaper then the stock replacement! Same bolt pattern as a YJ...
Just installed a 3/4 ton J20 Box! $90 bucks from rockauto cardone reman. Much bigger then the stock box, bolts right in. Same splines. BUT its a flared fitting. The low pressure line I just bought a new line, but I cut the end off the stock line and double flared it.... like a brake line. A usa...
You know if you get in an accident you can get f**ked with insurance if your injured. Your deliberately disabling an OEM safety device. I dont care, but just saying.
I recommend checking out the JEGS 8.5mm wires. I got em for my 1991 Grand Wagoneer and they are very high quality, and made in the USA (and like half the price of MSD).
Best picture of it that I have:
Cost be about $40. Plumbed right through the back of the airbox. Blocked off front hole with a piece of rubber and silicon. There is a rubber piece of tubing between the airbox and the fender, so I am able to pull the box with the snorkel installed.
