have a 2001 xj and was looking for a 87 ,88 or 89 dana 44 that i was told is a direct bolt on with no fab. don't know if thats true. now a buddy has found a 8.8 out of a 95 or so explorer complete withdisc brakes for 200.00 is that a direct bolt on since the perch measurments are about 40 in. or...

looking to complete this project and don't want to put a lot of $ in a 8.25 axle. any help or advice would be great. thanx tom.

here it is. 2001 xj. 8.25 rear and the 30 up front. going with 6.5 lift and running 33's. detroit in rear and tru trak up front. are the 456 ratio what i want? i think so but getting to much info from people who don't even have a wheeler. thanx tom in ca.
