I apologize if this has been asked a thousand times already but I just want a quick answer from the guys who've used these kits. Is one better than the other, both the same?

I pulled this from a junkyard and used it in my Jeep for a few months. I ended up replacing it with a rebuilt because I suspected some play in this box. So it functions but could probably use a rebuild if someone wants to take the time.
I am located in Anahiem, and I am looking for $15 for...
Well I got a new coil today and it starts and runs good. So I think that takes care of that finally. It took me awhile to getting to that point. Looking at the old coil I see some cracks in the resin or whatever it is that seals it so I am thinking that water got in that way. Yeah I think I...
I think I found the root problem. A friend of mine suggested baking the coil in an oven to get any water out that might have collected in there. So I did that and put the coil back on and it started right up and ran perfectly for about 5 minutes and then suddenly quit again. So that should be...
I checked for voltage at the coil and I got a voltage ranging from 8-11V at the spade connection and 12V at the round exposed connection below and to the left. I checked for spark from the coil to the cap and there is none. checked for water in the distributor and the plug wires and all seems...
Yeah I was wondering if that ground was not a true ground. I checked the yellow wire and there was voltage I think it was like 11 or 12 volts. I have not checked voltage at test point on the coil. It has been drying out for 4 days now so I would think all the water would be gone.
My main...
I have a 90 XJ all stock that I use as a daily driver and I washed down the the battery side of the engine compartment and now it will crank fine but no start. I started it up afterwards and it ran for about 30 sec and completely died.
So I checked for fuel and pressure is fine and pulled...
This afternoon I was bolting on the other shackles and I noticed that my frame is actually a little bent in the back there. I never noticed that and put two and two together but I am pretty sure now that the bent frame is making the spring look like it is bent. Maybe I'm way off.
I put some used RE springs on my XJ and when installing them I noticed it was hard to get the rear eye to line up with the shackle, I had to bend it in to get it to slide into the shackle.
So now the spring rides canted to the right if looked at from the rear and this causes it to rub on the...
I was talking to a suspension teacher and he thought that my spring might be actually bent. Does that sound possible to you guys? Has anyone had to deal with that?
I got an issue with my leaf spring that I can't figure out. The Jeep is a 90 XJ and I have installed a RE 4.5inch lift. So the rear leaf spring keeps popping and grinding where it attaches to the shackle. I thought it was the bushing but it looks okay.
I don't know if this is normal or not...
That makes sense that the second one up top is for cruise control, but that is the one with the adjustment. And also I noticed on the 95 that I took the booster from that it doesn't have the one on the push rod the closer one, just the one up top only without the vacume line.
So how is close...
I am swapping in a dual diaphragm brake booster from a 95 XJ into my 90 XJ without ABS. I'll post some pics but basically I got a switch on the push rod itself and a switch above it. I did not put any spacers between the booster and firewall as I saw others have done.
So what is the...
I have a 90 XJ with power steering and I have quite a bit of play in my steering box so I am weighing my options. Does anyone know a good source for a rebuild kit with more than just seals? And how do I know I am getting the right kit for my box?
I am thinking maybe its better to just go for...
Its weird, it acts like its loose. it tends to swerve slightly when you hit a bump in the road and then correct itself. The steering wheel seems to stay in the same position but the car is tracking around like loose steering. But when I wiggle the wheel and check the tire for play it seems to...
I am still having the bump steering issues. I think you may be right about the caster, I think it is about 4.9 degrees. The problem is I think I am out of adjustment on the lower control arms where you put the shims behind the control arms. My control arms are not adjustable, so maybe I'll...
