Gotta get rid of the XJ, old project that never got finished and never will. If nobody wants it I'll scrap it.
$1000 takes it, located in Woodbridge NJ
- Rock Krawler 3-link with new Currie joints because the RK ones are shot
- 4.5" Rubicon Express coils
- Iron Rock Offroad H&T SYE with XJ...
I know this is a Cherokee forum but if I'm not mistaken my brother's TJ has the same 4.0 that my XJ does, and the two Jeeps operate the same way so I'm confident you guys will be able to steer me in the right direction again.
So his TJ won't start at all. I turn the key and it immediately bogs...
I've never had leather seats before, but I can assume my ZJ leather seats aren't real leather. I was hoping that was the case, because one of the reasons I got them was so that I wouldn't have soaked seats when I got caught in the rain, and that I could just dry it off with a towel.
Would...
Swapping an axle and the new coil mounts are a bit higher. I need RE coils because of the stiff spring weight, since I have no swaybar. Anyone wanna bump up?
I've had a couple of problems with ignition lately, but everything has been fine for over a month. Today I was cruising around and I heard the subtle hiccup that would happen right before a stall and I knew right away to pull off the road. Sure enough a couple seconds later the Jeep shut off. It...
I parked next to a nice lookin 97 or newer light blue XJ with about 4.5 inches of lift, bumpers front and rear, Moabs and looked like 35 inch Maxxis Bighorns. NAXJA sticker on the bottom left of the hatch. Had Colorado plates but I saw it in Jersey City, right next to the beer garden (yes that's...
My brother has been telling me his TJ has been shifting weird and it seems like the transmission has moved back a little bit. I thought that sounded really odd and have never heard of anything like that on here or other Jeep forums so I looked underneath his Jeep and saw this...
The frame...
Jeep starts up and runs for a block or 2 with a couple hiccups then shuts off.
It had a check engine light when it first died on me, so I was excited about that, being that the last time I had trouble nothing showed up so I was left guessing.
I got it towed back home and the battery is...
I'm trying to install Warn manual locking hubs on my Waggy 44 and I can't figure out what's wrong.
The body of the locking hub won't slide in any farther than this
On the installation guide it says I'm an idiot and can't line up one of the holes on the spindle nut washer with the little...
Quick question, won't bore you with details...
Is 4" of up travel and 4.5" of down travel in the rear abysmal or acceptable?
In other words, if you had to, would you?
I won't bore you with a story, just details...
96 Cherokee Classic 4.0l
- Stopped at a red light, motor shut off, with power to the radio and headlights still.
- It would not turn over, with a very slow crank.
- Get it home, notice the battery terminals are badly corroded. The negative...
I am trying to remove the hub guts and bearings to get my rotors off to replace them on my '80 Waggy 44.
I got the drive flange and outer spindle nut off but the lock washer in between the 2 spindle nuts is giving me a real hard time. I haven't the slightest idea how to get it out. I can't see...
How many days or weeks did it take you guys to get axles regeared?
For me it's been over a month since I dropped the axles off at the shop. I call weekly and they always tell me they should have them done the next week.
Should I demand a couple bucks be knocked off the invoice or just suck it...
I have a Dana 44 from the rear of an 87 XJ. I have drum covers but they're extremely rusted. I was going to use it with my HP30 but plans changed when I found a set of Waggy 44s. There were some fine bits of metal inside when I first inspected it, but I had plans to rebuild with new gears...
I'm planning a Waggy 44/XJ 44 combo and after some research I've found that the most cost efficient way to match up the lug patterns are these wheel adapters...
Ok so from what I hear NJ is about to do away with all inspections with the exception of emissions
Do any of you guys know if that means we can run full widths come June 1st? Or is that still gunna be illegal?
I have a set of Waggy 44s waiting to be built because of the legality but...
Ok so I've come to the sad realization that I don't have the time, tools, or experience to regear my Waggy 44's and get them under my XJ anytime soon. Although I (and a lot of other people I'm sure) would like to do all of my own work, I'm thinking it would be better for me and the integrity of...
I'm gunna be regearing my 44s before I throw em in and I'm looking for some input on what would be a more desirable gear ratio for 35's (with a possibility of 36's or 37's in the future). I'm between 4.88s and 5.13s. School me
