Just so you have an idea - I ran 35" Xterrains on the Stock Dana 30 and 8.25 - with a 6.5" Clayton Long Arm. Before that I ran 37" MTRs on a stock Dana 30 and 44 - with a 4" Skyjacker short arm kit. Never broke anything :) It is all about the skinny pedal usage :)
I think it is a 72?? It is on 35s - he is doing a trail restore on it. It looks great. And I am still working on the wife to let me take mine.... LOL If not it will be the bone stock 2009 Grand Cherokee (see even a bone stock not so much jeep, jeep, will make it down there)....
redbeard - you should be fine - again Poughkeepsie, may give you some issues (but you don't need to go that way and if I remember correctly there is a bypass)
dark92 - for sure, would be cool to meet up and have a couple of beers. My buddy is bringing his Early Bronco.
We are going down for the 4th this year. Staying in Silverton. I am trying to talk the wife into letting me take the XJuggy (way overkill, but still a ton of fun).
I will be looking more into it tomorrow evening - I will post up more info as I get it - such as computer labeling and specifics off of the transmission.
So here is the deal - The buggy is shifting funny.
1st seems ok - 2nd seems ok - 3rd seems ok - 4th to 5th seems weird - here is the deal I have a 3 speed Auto!!!!
What is my rig doing? If feels like it goes from 1st to 2nd, then 2nd to 3rd and finally from 3rd to a 4th immediate 5th...
Dutch I am Very Interested - If you know of someone that can help me with getting me some money for my 37" Iroks on Aluminum wheels. 4 are at 60 to 70% and the wheels are good (rock rashed but hold air) and the 5 Iroc was only used once as a spare and has no wheel.
Looking for a set of Steel Wheels to convert to Beadlock or a set of beadlocks....
I would also be willing to put in some cash for a complete set of beadlocks and wheels if someone wants to trade for my Irok Radials and Aluminum wheels.
Let me know what you all have - I need the old Ford 8...
