I did post back, with the overhead console only it does not work. Never said i was going to run out and spend another $20-$30 at the jy for a BCM and and continue trying. He posted this on several jeep forums over two years ago and not one person has gotten it to work. So either its too much...
In the donor XJ, the sentry wiring is bundled with the rest of the cab and engine wiring. But with some patience it can be separated into a self-contained harness.
Here's a (lousy cell phone) picture of some of the sentry system components. Clockwise from the top, the brake booster cover (with a hole for the sensor), the remote module with mounting bracket, the display module, 2 axle fluid sensors (there are a couple others, they are all the same) and 4...
found the wiring diagram...its really isn't very complicated but it would be pain to install. The one thing i never really figured out when i was messing with it was the "Engine off In(put?)", there isn't a choke heater relay in my truck to run that wire to.
There were holes drilled into the axles, t-case, etc. for fluid level sensors. A harness ran under the length of the XJ, into the engine bay and to a box underneath the dash called the system sentry remote module (which looks exactly like the electronic voice alert module in Chryslers)...
If you are looking for more info beyond what's in that thread, i've got a wiring diagram and an almost complete system in a box somewhere in my garage.
RR window connector (the pins are not sequential on the connector):
Pin 1 BR Right Rear Power Window Motor Up Control
Pin 2 DB/WT Left Front Door Power Lock/Window Switch Control
Pin 3 YL Left Front Door Power Lock/Window Switch Output
Pin 4 BR/LB Right Rear Power Window Down Control
Pin 5 VT...
As of Wed 2/4, there's an 87XJ Limited at the LKQ pick a part on Wallisville road. The XJ is black with a red driver's side door, about 3 rows from the back of the SUV/Truck Section. It had 220k on the clock, i didn't crawl under it to check the gear ratio.
I really hate sending anyone to...
My bad, saw the first set of 4.0L engines, then didn't scroll down far enough. Its certainly less than what i'm spending on my stroker. Besides the 4.2l crank, i'd be curious to know what other parts they are using.
I pulled most of a sentry system out of a junked 85 or 86 XJ chief. Basically there's a sensor for every one of those lights. Some of the sensors are connected directly to the display box. Some go thru a separate control box mounted under the dash, then into the display box.
Here's a wiring...
What year? Which harness, dash, headlight, engine bay?....if you are more specific someone may be able to help you out. After that there's the local pick and pull, car-part.com and sometimes harnesses pop up on ebay.
There seems to be a perception over at ComancheClub that leadnotfollow and motion offroad are two different people. Seemed to come up any time someone on ComancheClub would point out the above jf threads. Unfortunately those ComacheClub threads were all deleted; closest example i could find...
Its not limited to the Motion Offroad website, even in posts to forums his words have been heavily borrowed from competitor's websites. The last post from this thread (its not very long), specifically the last paragraph:

Then read the...
you can also drill into the rivet about half way then use a hammer and punch to knock the rivet out. Save a little bit of time and some drill bits. The two XJs i pulled window regulators and door locks from both had bolts instead of rivets, so i grabbed the bolts and too and used those during...
Didn't get anything; nothing in my pm box or email. I'm going to send a pm with my contact info again, and hopefully we can work out something over the weekend.
i had the same problem, the PO cut up the harness to put in the aftermarket stereo and alarm (that would go off while i was driving). It was easier to replace the whole harness rather than try to splice everything together.
