3" lift, positive camber... What length LCA to build?

Makes sense. That chart is awesome. I'll fix the balls and see if I've got too much toe in now. It's amazing how even just a 1/4" can change things. Too bad the stock arms aren't easy to extend!

3" lift, positive camber... What length LCA to build?

Definitely positive camber. Didn't seem to be this bad at stock height. Had a little positive but barely noticable. I'm trying to duplicate the RC 3" II kit. So I've setup everything just need LCA's. Quad has replacement bushings for aftermarket arms $20 and arm. I can build the arm around...

3" lift, positive camber... What length LCA to build?

Best I could find in the searches was 16.25" LCA for a 4.5" lift. 87 RENIX XJ Pulled a lift out of a cash for clunker rig. It didn't have the control arms. It's a 3" lift full springs and I've got some serious positive camber going on now. I know my upper balls have a little play but this is...

What are the Fuel Gauge Sender Resistance values?

Are they supposed to be bent? The rod was dead nuts straight from pot to float.

What are the Fuel Gauge Sender Resistance values?

Reads half full when the tank is full. Working the sweep key on by hand reads properly. Even key on now with the sender installed and a full tank it only reads half.

What are the Fuel Gauge Sender Resistance values?

So I replaced the float. Key on gauge works fine moving the float by hand. Installed in the tank pump on, it reads half full. Where are the main grounds? I've found a ground behind the dizzy, and the strap from the head to the firewall.

What are the Fuel Gauge Sender Resistance values?

Alright I plugged the sender in and worked it by hand.... Gauge reads full and empty respectively. WTF. The float ball doesn't seem to have fuel in it?! Checked the wire at the gauge. Reads 10ohm empty, 92ohm full..... Maybe the gauge then? Took the float off completely. I hear a...

What are the Fuel Gauge Sender Resistance values?

Awesome! Thanks I got about 2.6 empty and 92 full. Close enough! I figured with as much GM stuff on here it'd be the typical 0-90 type gauge. Looks like I'll chase the wire down and check out what it reads at the gauge.

What are the Fuel Gauge Sender Resistance values?

Did a search and couldn't find the numbers. What are the resistance values for an '87 Cherokee Fuel Sender? Fuel and Empty. My gauge reads very very lazy and I'd like to start diagnosing it. Thanks -Paul

    Soundbar in an '87 XJ?

Awesome. So I need one from a '97 and older. I'll hit the boneyard. Found a '98 on craigslist. Don't wanna mess with the headliner. I ditched mine also, it was sagging and gross. Better things to spend money on! By "stripping" I mean the screws themselves are stripped out of the lift gate. I...

    Soundbar in an '87 XJ?

I've got an '87 Cherokee and would like to get the speakers out of the fiberglass liftgate as they keep stripping the fiberglass when you shut the gate! Will a soundbar from a 1998 fit dimensionally? I can fab brackets, but don't want to pick one up if it's going to be too wide. Thanks! -Paul

    Pace Setter Header Yoke hits

Consensus is... This header does suck. I put on new motor mounts. The Y-Pipe is up on the slip all the way. Cheated the motor to the passenger side. Beat the header with a BFH. STILL rubbed. According to some Jeep sites her Cherokee is sitting at stock height. I ended up shortening the Track...

    Pace Setter Header Yoke hits

So I just installed the Pace Setter header on my girlfriend's '87 XJ. Went for a drive and upon braking and turning the front axle yoke beats up the header. I pulled the Y pipe as close to the transmission as I could when I finished welding the exhaust. The Track Bar seems to be in good shape...

What year header applications fit an '87 Xj?

I'll do the motor mounts same time then. Good information to know. I am assuming since the intake and ex/manifold seem to share bolts, the intake has to come off for this?

What year header applications fit an '87 Xj?

Got the infamous crack on the manifold. Would like to replace with a header. Doesn't have to be anything coated or fancy. I see most of them start at '91. So what fits an '87? Thanks -Paul

'87 Limited E-Brake Light wiring (stays on)

I got it all working. Whoever did the repair job missed the wires melted behind the fuse box. Just need the headlight plug and I'm good to go. I've already patched in new wires with solder.

'87 Limited E-Brake Light wiring (stays on)

I also need the plug/pigtail for the headlight switch. Does anyone know where one can be had VS the wrecking yard?

'87 Limited E-Brake Light wiring (stays on)

Okay so when I unplug the front harness (black connector) for the tails... the brake light goes out.... but the fuel light stays on... and the fuel gauge starts rising. I guess the short is farther up. Somewhere they wired power to these things full time. Maybe behind on the fuse box...

'87 Limited E-Brake Light wiring (stays on)

It never ceases to amaze me how much a mess people make out of wiring. I guess in lue of things... just those two little lights seem to stay on. Everything else seems to work (save the starter solenoid wiring). Don't suppose anyone has an acurate diagram of the rear harness? 87 limited 4.0L?

'87 Limited E-Brake Light wiring (stays on)

Unfortunately my chilton and haynes have crap for wiring. Nothing is the way it's listed for this jeep and it's incomplete.
