    Over heat, crappy radiator

The good reviews is why I got the radiator. Fluid is clean and green. I do Flushes about once a year doing the week long style of cleaners and flushes. Got a new Prestone brand that is also a degreaser. Going to use that when I swap radiators. Have done so many flushes as trying to figure...

    Over heat, crappy radiator

Well I know some of the reports of failure was with running Dex-Cool coolant and ate the solder out. Right now I have the Spectra radiator and have ran hot in the summer ever since. I should have written down the model # and make of the one I pulled. I don't have an issue with it failing...

    Over heat, crappy radiator

Looks like the CSF 2671 3 row looks like it has good reviews and performance. minor fitment issues if you are aware of before install is easy to work with. I am running the Grand Cherokee HD fan (picked up from NAPA) but also have the MORE motor mounts so under throttle and load the engine...

    Over heat, crappy radiator

So this is likely all on me, I have a 1995 4.0 L AW4 auto Jeep, no real mods other than lifted 3" ish inches and 33" tires. The radiator that was in the Jeep (replaced by Previous Owner) was a fairly nice looking radiator, all metal and heavy duty looking. It got a hole in the core and...

Signs of when the Alternator goes bad

Well, unlike the videos you find there is part of the body from below and AC lines above that prevent a easy slip in / out type of a situation. Ended up having to take both brackets also basically off in order to have clearance for the alternator to go in. about 1.5 hour job while working with...

Signs of when the Alternator goes bad

So looked at some YouTube videos on the subject of replacing to make sure there were no gotcha type moments. It appears I have a different alternator and bracket than the videos.... I have some weird different 4 post connector in addition to the power plug. And some other plate/adapter...

Signs of when the Alternator goes bad

Well not really able to. But should be able to have them ch3ck it at the part store. It's just a 65 mile drive to the part store. I have checked fuses and moved and check connections and nothing was blown and no moving of connections cause the voltage to go up. Going to see how well I can...

Signs of when the Alternator goes bad

Today when starting the Jeep after driving it around and also being in the middle of a camping event in Yellowstone. The check engine light came on and the voltage appears to be around 12.5 (don't have a multimeter on me, just gauging where the dash volt meter is sitting). Using a external...

Rear disc on XJ C8.25" from a ZJ

Well thought I would provide a status report / my experience on this. Got the swap done last Saturday. And in general it went well. I knew I should have gotten new U-Bolts but hoped with 2-3 weeks of PBlaster that I could reuse them since I am expecting to have to replace the springs in...

Rear disc on XJ C8.25" from a ZJ

So I am thinking of trying this out. Since I have the Liberty KJ ebrake cables I am going to modify them to work. Going to cut the ferrule off on the end that connects to the brake "equalizer" on the handle side. Slide out the cable from the Teflon sheathing. Cut a portion out of the middle...

Rear disc on XJ C8.25" from a ZJ

The good thing is it can be driven with out the ebrake hooked up while I get my sore butt back out there. I also already have the Liberty brake lines as a few writeups mentioned they were a "direct" fit... so I might see how I can modify those to work.

Bolt snapped off in rear yoke on C8.25, Help!

Are the nuts for the yokes a crushed nut style where after removal they should be discarded? Not to worry about rocks at the moment. Right now I just need to get it able to drive again. I need to replace the rear leaf springs as my HD ones from Crane are now a bit sagging. I will look at...

Rear disc on XJ C8.25" from a ZJ

I will have to take a look. I figured the XJ lines would have just as much of an issue securing to the ZJ. I am referring to the bracket that holds the brake cable. Don't have a welder. I have looked at the clamp way.

Rear disc on XJ C8.25" from a ZJ

Will they work? My XJ cables are for drums. The mount and way to connect to the ZJ e brakes are completly different.

Bolt snapped off in rear yoke on C8.25, Help!

Will get this. Do they carry this kind of thing at 4wheel part stores? Hope to get it Monday, curse Amazon does not have same day delivery with their drones in my area...

Rear disc on XJ C8.25" from a ZJ

Not sure I follow. Original cables for the ZJ right? So cut the end off, then use the cable tie type of thing? I am not so worried about attaching the cable to the ebrake handle and the caliper end. Don't I need to secure both ends of the out side sheathing one at the caliper side and the...

Bolt snapped off in rear yoke on C8.25, Help!

Well that's what I did.... but three of the 4 screws are toast due to over torque. Need to get 4 new screws to hold the end caps to the rear yoke. Anyone know the size and thread of the screws? Or is this a dealer type item I should get?

Bolt snapped off in rear yoke on C8.25, Help!

Installing new rear end got all the way done, except there was enough crap built up in the threads when I was trying to I stall the drive shaft at the very end one of the bolt snapped leaving half the bill in the threads. What are my options? Edit: I have the other C8.25 (27 spline) can I pull...

Rear disc on XJ C8.25" from a ZJ

Almost have everything done. Those hard brake lines are a PIAA and I need some better wrenches as it seems like it kept rounding. But a Major problem. E-Brake cables, the Liberty ones are HUGE they won't fit. The problem I am having though is the length of cable from the body mount. The...
