    Oil pumps typically going to work, or not, no in between. I'd check for shorts in the sending unit

    Bad sensor. Couple things. Check your actual temp, get a new gauge and sensor, very easy to do, search it. You can always wire your elec fan to a switch thru a relay, too

    IIRC!!!!! The pre-cat sensor controls the PCM, the post cat sensor monitors the first one.. which would lead me to believe, that the post cat one is the one that kicks your CEL?!

    x2 If you got it off, why cant you get it back on? Disco swaybar, trackbar, and shocks, SAFELY put a botle jack b/w axle and "frame".. jack up... you should be good to go

    3.73's are fine on a 4 cylinder with 31's so Id imagine youd be fine on your diesel rig.. Wait for a sure-fire answer tho. I dont personaly see the need to regear unless going 4.56 or deeper...

    You always have the option of doing a little leg work, pull up each year inside your range, and check part #'s ;) Google can answer this.

    Theyre referring to a tap st startup, if the oil drains back down, the top end will be "dry".. with an "anti-syphon valve" in your filter, it wont allow this to happen, aka less distance for the oil to travel to soak the top end

    fan eating my radiator!!??!!

    Well , motor mounts are going to keep your motor from twisting side to side, for forward/backwards movement, this would most likely relate to your transmission mount. Make sure your front clip is bolted down tight, and your new radiator gets put into the pegholes correctly.

    Typically, if you lose a rod bearing, youre going to lose pressure, IIRC. That knock could be a LOT of things, even IF RPM dependant, from Water pump, to timing belt/chain w/e these damn things have... Pressure does seem high, did you overfill your fluid?

    ANy 4.0 can kick 200k's ass VERY easily... Chances are, if thats an AW-4, the tranny would be fine, too... Big kicker... Take the diff covers off, and check the tranny fluid for water intrusion/forgetfulness

    8.5" XJ Death Wobble, Can't Keep Throwing Money At This

    I read the first page, and the 5th, and Ill pretty much agree that youre going to have a hard time getting a shortarm setup to EVER work at that height... Im sure this' been discussed already, but in case it hasnt.... What driveline mods do you have? SYE and rear cv shaft?! or no?
