PO455 Code and Missing Upon hard Acceleration

I have a '00 XJ. Recently, my engine light has come on a few times after fill-up. I've read the other posts regarding this, but none included this: when I accelerate, as it's coming up in the RPMs, it "bucks" or misses a few times. I was wondering if having a leak in the fuel/emissions...

    Wups. I meant digital multimeter.

    2000 Cherokee - no spark

Question. In checking ohms in a cam sensor and a crank sensor, what should the reading be if it's good? Some people say "infinite" - what does that look like on a digital meter? I have gotten readings of 0.00 and 7.5 on the cam sensors and 0.00 and 15.5 ish on the crank sensors. VERY CONFUSING!!!

    Top Dead Center Method?

That's exactly what I'm trying to do. I have already changed out the crank sensor. I changed out the cam sensor last night. It ran for 7 minutes, then stalled and wouldn't start again. The old sensor was showing 0.00 ohms cold and 15 ohms after stalling, so I assumed it was bad. I didn't...

Voltage Regulator - Integral or External?

Maybe you are right. BUT, since i changed out my alternator, all my light and fan pulsing and transmission shifting has gone away.

Those links didn't show anything but a NAPA search page.

    Top Dead Center Method?

Thanks. Now, which cylinder is the #1 cylinder?

Voltage Regulator - Integral or External?

Chieftain, the alternator i installed has TWO and ONLY TWO terminals as did the one I took off. AND, there were no "extra" wires hanging idly by with nowhere to go.

    Cam Sensor on 2000 XJ

Why would I pour water on the sensor?

Voltage Regulator - Integral or External?

Just to let you know, the voltage regulator IS in the alternator.

Does anyone know how to bring the engine up to TDC for the #1 cylinder? 2000 XJ, 4.0.

    Cam Sensor on 2000 XJ

I do not know how to do that. And, my Jeep is a 2000 and doesn't have a distributor.

    Cam Sensor on 2000 XJ

I read that article a few days ago. Thanks for posting it for me. It sounded hard for a very amateur mechanic. Do you think it is?

    2000 Cherokee - no spark

I have a powered multimeter. How would I perform this test? Can I do it with the engine not running but with the ignition on?

    Cam Sensor on 2000 XJ

P1391 code. Either my Crankshaft Position Sensor or my Camshaft Position Sensor is sending an intermittent signal and causes it to run horrible (after it warms up) then not run at all. I just changed the Crank sensor and it fixed nothing. Very frustrating. I've read every post on NAXJA...

    2000 Cherokee - no spark

I just took it out to see if it was still going to have the "bucking" issue and it just plain stopped running not far from my house. It won't even start, although it tries and tries. I tried tugging on wires as i did before, but it got no better. I left it and walked home. I'll go back in an...

    2000 Cherokee - no spark

As it turns out, I grabbed and moved every wire i could get my hands on and...IT STARTED!! I have have no idea why. However, now it's doing the bucking bronco things after 20 minutes of driving. Occasionally, it stalls. It's sending the infamous code P1391. I've read every post on NAXJA...
