It might be that your fan is too far away from your fan shroud and it isnt pulling enough air through the radiator. When you are on the highway, there is plenty of air moving past the radiator. It could also be your fan clutch isnt working properly. An electric fan would probably work, but you...
Forgot - 90XJ 4.0 5 Speed.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I also forgot to mention that if I pull back on the turn signal to activate high beams, the lights do come on but they dont stay on. As soon as I let go of the turn signal they go off. All the rest of the lights work. Thanks again...
Okay, this is a very stupid mistake and hard for me to admit but here it goes. I was at work and left my headlights on. Battery went dead and I got a co-worker to give me a jump. Just put new cables on and both were black with tape indicating + and -. Hooked up the cables backwards, melted the...
Well, I have had to change my throwout bearing 2 times in the last 2 years. Dont let these problems come as a surprise to you. It is possible that your throwout bearing is going bad, but when mine went bad there was no getting it into gear.
Are you low on clutch fluid?
Are you able to shift...
None at the moment. I pushed in the outlet to check the pressure and no fuel comes out. I dont have a fuel pressure guage, but no fuel equals no pressure.

90 Cherokee 4.0 2WD 5 Speed
Just replaced the fuel pump. I turn the key to let the fuel pump build presssure and I can hear it come on and then turn off when it builds up pressure. When I try to start it, nothing. And the fuel gauge is pegged. When I first installed it, it wouldnt come on at...
Okay guys, I did a search but I did not find the answers I need. I have a 90XJ 4.0 5 speed that is my daily driver. It is about as plain as it can be while having A/C. I have installed a new guage cluster and power windows and locks and painted it. I have an 89 Laredo donor (bad engine) that I...
I will try cutting those wires for the hatch. I connected them to the same colored wires that were coming from kick panel. The only power wire I could find when I pulled the harness off of the donor was a Violet wire that also had the square plug that plugged right into the fuse block. I guess I...
After you plug the under floor harness to the doors you only need to get a good ground and the power wire "should" plug right into an enpty 1 hole spot in the fuse panel.
Okay, I plugged everything up and nothing. All connections are connected except for 2 and I think they are for a keyless...
Okay, I pulled the floor harness out of the donor XJ today. I have not yet looked to see if they match up with any connections under the dash of my daily driver. But I did come to the realization that that harness will enable me to wire them properly to the driver door and I think I will only...
Is the floor harness the only one I need, or is that along with the dash harness? If it is the only one I need that would be great. Thanks again for all your help guys.

I was wondering if that was an option. There are a whole bunch of wires coming out of those doors, would it really be that much easier to wire them myself than to change the harness? And can I make the driver door control the rest of the doors? Thanks.

Okay, here it goes.
I have a 90 XJ 4.0 manual everything. I bought an 89 XJ for $350 power everything minus the motor because it was seized. I took the doors with power windows and locks off of the 89 and put them on my 90. Because they were different colors I thought, what the hell, lets paint...
I know this is kind off of a dumb suggestion, but try tightening the oil filter. My uncles XJ started doing that and I noticed it was coming from the area around the filter, but it did not look like it was coming from the filter. It was our first cold night and he had just changed the oil in...
