my 94 xj idles erratically mainly when cold. sometimes at a stop
the engine lopes. took it to garage they changed the distributor cap and rotor didnt work then they changed crank sensor still nothing. now they want change fuel pump and filter. can anyone help me diagnose the problem.
are you using srtaightt water? cause water has a lower boiling point and may not activate sensor
the problem may be caused by a grounded wire between the sending unit and the temp gauge. if not and replaced sending unit. maybe faulty ignition switch.
new parts can also be faulty. had it happen try having your ignition module tested at your local auto parts store. if you have an autozone or advanced auto i know they have testing equipment. they might be able to test coils too, don't know for
sure. some people don't know parts can be tested...
when my xj got warm it would stall, i couldn't get it to start til it
cooled. somedays i would have no problems at all. then i stalled on ice and slid for a tree there it sat for days checked everything still nothing pulled the ignition module, and had it checked at my local autozone. test...
