I don’t have a locker and this is just my theory so feel free to correct me if I’m off here. I was thinking about getting a locker and getting rid of the disco in mine and after looking at the system I figured I would feel the locker and hear it ratcheting if I were to get rid of the disconnect...
By intake I assume you mean where the air comes into the air filter and not the intake manifold. That isn’t injecting air into the exhaust. It’s drawing air from around the exhaust. It doses this when the engine is cold to get warmer air. When the engine warms up a valve closes and the air come...

Be sure the leak isn’t somewhere under the hood before you go messing with the evaporator. If you open any of the lines you should pull a vacuum on the system before refilling it.
I taped a string to the front tire. Stretch the string to the rear and tie it to a jack stand or something. The string has to just touch the front and rear of the front tire but not bend coming of the rear of the tire. Then measure the distance from the string to the tire at the front and rear...
you need to straighten the passenger side wheel.
Adjust the tie rod so the toe is correct on the drivers side wheel
Then use the collar at the top of the draglink to adjust the steering wheel position.
The collar at the top of the draglink will not affect the toe adjustment.
This is the way I...
“There are different fittings for different types of refrigerant” It is true that different refrigerant systems have different fittings. If his jeep had had R22 as I first thought he would have had to get the conversion kit that comes with adapters to fit the 134 hose to the 22 fitting on the...
I haven’t done my Jeep but my 93 Chevy came with R22 so your 91 xj probably had R22 as well. Even though your gauge says 0 there is R22 refrigerant left in there. The refrigerant isn’t consumed it is just cycled though the system over and over so if it is low their has to be a leak in the system...
Dang ya’ll got worked up quick! Stop and think about what you said….if one looses traction the OTHER one spins? No the tire without traction is the one that’s spinning. So just like old man said….both wheels are no longer able to get power to the ground.
1 wheel with traction & no power + 1...
It’s just rusted on that spot so get a buddy to help by holding the lever inside the cab. You grab the bottom lever with some channel locks and work it free. That bushing on the right side of you pic needs replacing but mine looks like that too and it works. You could also pop that part with the...
image a drag car that pops a wheelie on the strip. The rear axel rotates the opposite direction that the wheels are turning and pushes the front of the car up. The axel is connected to the car by the springs which are flexible so it bends (spring wrap). You could add some ladder bars or...
it’s not necessarily that it will come apart but that block lets your axle have more leverage on the spring so you’ll get more spring wrap. And when you wind that spring up and it snaps back into place you put more stress on the drive line and lose traction. It also puts more stress on the u-bolts.
Sorry, I have the AX15 5 speed. I don’t have a SYE yet. it’s one of the things I’m looking into it now because I want to lift higher. This 4runner is the only thing that’s close in the junk yard so I’m hoping I can make it work. If not I’ll just drop the TC a little.
Check out this right up from gojeep. If this is the problem, I don’t see why you couldn’t use a spacer on one side to level the front up. The second one implies that he used an aluminum spacer on one side to level.
If one coil is taller than the other then use that on the right side as XJ's (...
