Yea I will take a few more pics today. I may try to go find a old castle out here to go wheel by or somethin.
I really like all of the other half doors that have been posted they look good.
I cut these so I could leave the door handle on the inside, it made shutting the door much better than...
The doors still feel real sturdy because I joined the inside, and outside skin together witch also created a nice armrest. I also cut a large section out of the inside skin so I can build a in door cooler. I have some dimple dies so I am going to dimple a pice of thin sheet steel, and then weld...
I built these for a friend while he was in Iraq. I made them from some old doors I had laying around, and some sheet metal from my hood. We are stationed in Germany so parts are hard to come by, and we usually have to make everything from old junk. Makes it more fun that way.
This pic is...
I like to use a stock scissor style jack with a 1" white pine dowel rod used between the body of the Jeep and the jack. I find it is much safer than using a standard floor jack.
Thats the info I was looking for. A few of us are going to check it out next weekend to see if we can find the place. Thanks for the info, and I will have that beer tonight:thumbup:
Yea whats the deal with the 8.25 and vibes? Mine was real bad with the T-case lifted flush with the underside of the Jeep, and 2" of lift. I was thinking of swapping it under my TJ but I dont know if it can take the driveline angles. I would only do this swap because I live overseas and its...
Hell Yea. Man I cant wait. The XJ is in real bad shape right now so I may be bringing the TJ. For the XJ I need to finish the motor swap, a new rear drive shaft, windsheild, rear glass, and I bent the frot axle jumpping it:gee: We will see what else is wrong once I get it started.:)
I just got mine out last night. What a PITA. I dropped the trans a bit and took the motor mounts off of the block so the motor could be dropped down a bit. I also already had the front clip off so once the bolts came out the rest was cake.
If you want to see why I am replacing my motor see...
Hey sorry I have no advice. However if you are ever in the West Germany area look me up I live by Trier. We just started a Offroad club out here if you see my post, Service members overseas it has a link to our new web site. If you have any good places to go wheeling out by you post them up...
I used a 2" Rocky road BB. It worked real good for my 31" 11.5 Super Swamper TSLs. I needed to trim a bit and use TJ flairs but it was a third of the price that you are going to pay. Check it out/ let me know if you like it.
Trust me block the stock intake hole see RIP GermanXJ. I blew the crap outa mine. The extra air wont make a difference because you still only have the one intake tube.
Sorry I forgot to post the URL.
As I said before I am trying to put together a place where offroaders overseas can get together, and share info.
The Forum is brand new so bare with me. Not many posts.
