i have a 99 xj with a rustys 4.5" kit and a tcase drop. i have just put it on and i have noticed that when i am going extremely slow (like 1 or 2 mph) and turn (pretty sharp but not excessive) i hear a strange popping or hitting sound coming from right under my feet. i have looked and i don't...
i just put the rustys 4.5 kit on my 99 xj and i had an alignment done right after i was finished. the steering wheel is off center a little, and thats not that big of a deal because i can fix that with the tie rod. the thing that is weird is at one point the steering wheel will be off to the...
ok so i have a 99 xj and i just finished installing the 4.5 rustys kit. now i ordered everything that comes in the standard 4.5" kit, but i replaced the 4.5" leaf packs with the 3.5" ones and got a 1.50" shackle. I thought that this would make it sit more level, for i saw many rustys kit with...
now this may sound really stupid, but i have searched and can't find it (i guess its well known). i am buy a set of cragar soft 8's with 4.75b/s and i don't know what size lug nut to buy. i am getting them off summit so if anyone could help that would be great. oh and do i need to get valve...
ok i am been going crazy searching for what size tires to buy and i can't find anything (i have a 99 xj with a rustys 4.5 lift) i can't decide between 31" trxus (which are true to size) or 32" bfg mud terrains. I have heard that the 32's may require some trimming and i really don't want to do...
so i just went for a little fun out at some open muddy field in my 99 xj with a rustys bb. on the way back (caked in mud) the xj starts wobbling like crazy at about 50 mph. it goes away once i slow down but it still freaked me out. i called tire kingdom and they said to come in and get a tire...
ok i have decided to go with a rustys 4.5" kit on my 99 xj. i was debating whether to get that or the 3". i really want to do it right so after i added everything to a 3" kit (control arms, ect..) it would be the same if not more than the 4.5" kit. so i am doing it right and i am going to get...
i am looking into getting the rustys 3" full pack for my 99 xj and just had a few questions. i have searched and nothing gave me a real answer. at 3 inches would i need the adj. trac-bar? would i need anything else that is not in the kit (ex. control arms). i already have a t-case drop and i...
i am in the middle on installing a t-case drop and i just cannot get the crossmember aligned. i have the drives side all done but the passenger side i still have yet to do. i can get one bolt in, without the spacer. so do you think i can drive about 20 miles with that setup to have someone...
ok i am installing the rustys t-case drop and i ran into a problem. i took out the stud but on the other screw i unscrewed the head of the bolt but the actual bolt is still in. so do i just yank it out with some vice grips?
ok now before anyone says anything i have searched. i just got my rustys 40 series cat back in and i am going to install it. it is pretty much self explanitory on how to do everything except for one part. in the muffler outlet there is a pipe that i can take out. one side is bigger and i am...
i have a 99 xj sport with rustys 2" bb on it and i just ordered their cat-back with the 40 series muffler. i know you can bolt it on but would it be better to have to welded or is it not worth the money? thanks
i just put on a rustys bb and got some very minor vibes so i decided to get the t-case drop kit. i haven't put it on yet but i am wondering, would this do the same thing as shims or do i need shims also. again it is very minimal vibes i just wanted to get rid of them. any help would be great
