So about 4 years ago I installed a lockrite in a factory 4.10 geared dana 35 that was non c clip. The lockrite was for a c clip axle but no big deal as I remember it was a very easy job. Then I had a leak and ran out of gear oil and locked the rear end up solid, broke everything free installed...
Sunday I was moving my jeep around the driveway and from having wet boots on I sliped off the clutch pedal and stalled the engine. I went to start it back up but it only cranked, I checked and I had no spark. No big deal I replaced the CPS this morning almost positive that was the problem. Still...
I don't have any questions at this time but I wanted state I just finished up putting on my OME lift. Yeah the lift was used but I all have to say is wow just wow. I feel like I have a lifted caddy now. Yes you do feel the big bumps but it is very forgiving.
I live on the outside of Baltimore...
I just scored a used ome lift cheap and I'm spending the better part of Monday installing the kit.
My question is that I have a set of wj knuckles that I want to use so I can have cross over steering. I know that I don't need it with that small amount of lift, but my old built up jeep had the...
My jeep is slowly dying and I want to go fast but the wife cut me off for no more projects then the ones I have now....
So since I need a motor soon, I'm thinking of using a chevy 5.7 bolted to a 700r4. This is where things get interesting, maybe using a awd transfer case out of a astro van...
I have a 93 cherokee with a ax15 that is close to showing me its insides on the side of the road.
My question is about the wiring, I know how to bolt everything up and I know how to make the aw4 a full manual trans with simple wiring....
But would it be easy to make the jeep do the wiring...
I have read all 17 pages of the other post.
I think I have it figured out and just need an approval.
Do not want to go that low, just a smidge lower then stock. I was thinking of using stock grand cherokee rear springs for the front, but I do not want to go 2.5 inchs down. So maybe using...
I have been in the offroad world for a few years, now I building something more pratical. I'm taking the 3 inch lift out of jeep in favor of stock coils leafs and shocks.
I have a set of 15 by 8 black steel wheels I plan on using with 275 60 15 bfg radial ta's.
My question is would they fit...
For some reason I can drive 400 miles straight and maybe burn less then a quarter of a quart of oil but if I was to drive 100 miles with nothing but stop and go traffic it will burn 2 or more quarts, and there is very little blow by in the air filter housing.
I'm thinking valve seals....
I have a full complete running 1989 cherokee and the body is in bad shape. I plan on taking the drivetrain out and grafting it in my 1982 j10(I know it is a full size but still a jeep).
My question is what can I leave out of the system when I swap it out... I know I can take out the egr...
I have recently bought my 3rd xj and this one has an ax15, I know the transfer case is fubar but that shouldn't make the tranny pop out of 5th on the highway. Are am I looking at a new tranny.
I'm not asking on how to do the swap, I'm just asking has anybody done the swap with SUA and not SOA? Only reason I'm asking because the ideal of using 4inch lifted MJ springs seem to be a good ideal, that way you don't need a fancy cross over steering.
This post has nothing to due with jeeps. I'm planing on moving to Wyoming in the next year are so, and I'm just trying to hear what's going on on out there... things like price of living job security... things like that.
I am in the process of swaping a aw4 into my j10. My question is is there a fitting I can screw into the side of the trans so I can have a simple barb fitting for a hose.
Alright I think I have this figured out to do this swap... I have pulled a set of knuckles and a set of used calibers(only using for mock up, will buy a set of the new style for final install) for 80 bucks. Now all I have to do is to get the jks hup spacer 2000 are newer hubs and have the wj...
I need to upgrade my rear axle and im looking at the toyota axles... but I need the 5x4.5 bolt pattern, I know Im only going to find that in a 2 wheel drive models... is there any one that is worth putting money out for wheeling...
Ok so I noticed that headers for a HO 4L are cheaper then a Renix 4L. The only difference I see is the addition for the EGR valve for the renix. So my question is that how hard would it be to bypass it, and what problems would it cause are should I just leave it alone...
Well The frame around my steering box has now started to weaken due to years of abuse(who would of imagine, it is only a reinforced bear can). So I knew I had to order something for the problem. So I gave TnTCustoms a try with there reinforcement kit(which I had found TnTcustoms has awsome...
I am planing to purchase a dana 300 soon to replace my 231 I need to know what I need to make the 300 work. I already have a jeep 300 so it is a 23 spline input shaft and my AW4 has a 23 spline output shaft, I will be making my own shifters, so I think I just need a clocking ring.
Okay here is a question.. how long has anyone run leafs in the front, cause im worried about the front of the unibody flexing more are less with leafs compared to coils, Im not to sure. Also I have seen it once here but I cant seem to find it now but to acheive 6 inchs of lift would size YJ...
