Have you thought about an 8.25? Plenty stronger than the d35.. haven't checked to compare ground clearances. When I swing by for the brake petal we can throw a tape on mine if you want.

I brought my rig in for a tire rotation (city life sucks) and they sent me home with 65 PSI! I could feel something was wrong because every pebble was jarring. This was on 31x10.5 mtr's.

On the back of the stock brackets there was a little tab on mine (92 XJ) towards the bottom of the bracket. I ground off these tabs to help the brackets sit closer to flush, but still have a gap similar to yours. I'd be VERY sure that there's no gap at the bottom where the stock alignment shims...

I installed mine this past weekend and didn't jack anything at all. I had jack stands under the frame constantly (just in case) and the front wheels blocked.

The way I was thinking about it - The spacers would do under the bump stops so that the BS's would still be useful. If I put the spacers over/around the BS, wouldn't that make them essentially useless? x2 on JKS disco's
