My friend and I mounted ours kind of above the passengers head at the back of the seat. It sounds weird but it works and even with me at 6ft+ I have no issues sitting in the pass seat.
Yeah I was planning on calling them during the week to see what they had to say or at least get some measurements from them to check. I would just cut up the Rustys crossmember and make it a 3pc but my Jeep winter to do list is starting to get way too long.
Getting ready to start my 44/9 and 231 swap this winter and have a question. I am running Rustys long arm kit but I hate the crossmember. I would like to switch to a 3pc setup so I don't have to mess with the arms if I need to work on the drivetrain. I was looking at Clayton's crossmember and...
In my 95XJ I had mine under the front seats. They got dusty and a bit wet but never gave me any problems. Now in my 98 they are mounted on the B pillar buy the seat belts. They get very wet and crazy muddy so I dont expect them to last too long. If I didnt have a million more important...
I had that same issue. All I did was cut off the sway bar mounts and add a piece of 3/8x1 flat bar 2in long to raise them up and out of the way. And when my buddy ran into the same issue we did the same to his. Both took less than an hour.

My Buddy runs a Rough Country SYE with a stock front DS reworked/33s and beats it up on rocks, high rpm shifts in mud pits and DD the rig. They are tight and holding up fine.
My XJ is running a Rustys 6.5 LA with Accos spacers and HD rear brackets/longer shackles locked on 33s then on 35s. I have the 242/sye w/Tom woods drive shaft and have not had a problem with it in 3+yrs that I have been running it. Even dragging it on rocks or high rpm shifts getting out of...
I ran 31s and 33s with 3.55s and it was fine. Im now on 4.56s w/35s. My buddy is still running his 3.55s with 33s. Its not the best setup but really its not all that bad. If you have the money for a regear than i would do it but if you dont, I would not worry about until you do.
