I really like the tanker, but would need it modified as I run the BW flares. I also have a hard time deciding as I would want a better detail under and around the rear lights. Have you considered Mark at detours, they have a nice rear w/ carrier as well
I have met chris and seen some of his work. All in all I was happy with his product, dad has his rear and sliders, nice stuff. I choose not for a lot of picky (I want a certain look) reasons. But good stuff anyway, also he welded my currie mounts to the front axle while we waited at the shop...
Its a shortbed?! what condition is it in? I am looking to build a trailer out of one, would this be a good candidate for that? some pics please, may be interested in whole thing this weekend?!
Go with the airflow, its less money and is a better install. I have one and will be at the ts meeting on 2/7/08 with mine if you want a closer look at it
the next one I build will be a 6.8, that round really has some teeth to it. ghost make sure to get an upper marked for 5.56 not .223. IIRC they rae dimesionally the same but the pressure created by the 5.56 is much higher, due to it being a nato round.
Do yourself a favor and buy a nice 5 channel amp now, and make sure your head unit has outs for front/rear/sub. the sub out is normally a nonfade out. Make sure too when looking at amps get one with front/rear/sub inputs. it will come together much better sound wise that way.If it helps to know...
awesome platform, A friend of mine is guilty of getting the dea to order a few thousand. Hvae bought and sold a lot of these and they are great pieces.
mine did the same thing, I pulled it apart and repaired the connections in it. It says it cannot be serviced, but there are screws to allow it to be put together, had to gove it a try, works well no prob for year and a half now
if you have the skid plate on the nose of the xj, you can just drill it and install the storage pins that come with the jks quiker discos. At least thats what Dad and I did
